Wild Beast Pinch Pots with Eva Funderburgh
Sat 9/23 & Sun 9/24, 1:00-5:00 PM. Eva Funderburgh (she/her) is a Seattle-based artist known for her emotive animal forms and unique imaginary creatures. In this workshop, you will learn her techniques for building her sculptures and make your own monster. The two day workshop will cover using multiple pinch pots to build one creature, along with tips for capturing move and emotion within your form. Eva will also demonstrate how these techniques scale up, by demonstrating the making of giant, 15lb "punch pots"
Materials & Firings:
Half a bag of White Rose cone 10 clay, 1.5lbs of NZ10 porcelain clay, and a few tools are needed for this workshop so please check the box below to include the Materials cost in your registration. By keeping it separate like this, sales tax is only included in the Materials fee and not charged on the class fee - saving you $15 in taxes.
You may add half a cubic foot of space in the October cone 10 soda firing for your finished beasts - this is not required. Since this is sculptural, it is ok to fire cone 10 clay to cone 6 if you would rather glaze your project and put in a standard firing.
